HUNTINGTON — Anthony Morgan threw three touchdown passes — giving him eight in the past two weeks — and the No. 2 ranked Carthage Bulldogs closed out a perfect regular season with a 48-0 District 18-3A win over Huntington.

Morgan was 10-for-15 through the air for 192 yards. In the past two games, he has completed 21 of 27 passed for 506 yards. Tight end Trevor Murphy hauled in three passes for 32 yards, scoring twice, and Hunter Holland carried five times for 58 yards and scored once.

Holland opened the scoring in the first quarter with a 37-yard touchdown run, and Francisco Monreal tacked on the PAT. Morgan then hit Murphy for a 13-yard TD pass and a 14-0 lead after one quarter.

The Morgan-to-Murphy connection hooked up again midway through the second quarter, this time on an 11-yard scoring strike, and then Morgan found Teldrick Robinson for 7 yards and a 28-0 halftime lead.

Tamonte Hines got into the scoring act early in the third quarter with a 25-yard run before Clint Cage threw an 11-yard touchdown pass to Robinson and Antonio May scored on a 17-yard run to close out the scoring.

Huntington ends its season at 1-9 and 0-5.
