Finding icing for a cake featuring back-to-back 20-plus win seasons isn't an easy task, but Angelina College Lady Roadrunner head basketball coach Byron Coleman may have the recipe down pat.
While most junior college teams experience at least one "rebuilding" season every two years, Coleman and assistant Ashley Walker have been able to field teams consisting of a mix of sophomore veterans and heralded newcomers.

This season promises more of the same, with AC returning Region XIV's 2008-2009 Freshman of the Year Tiara George, post presence Keldra Hall, point guard Adele Stevenson, big-game hunter Erica Adair of Kennard, passing specialist Candice Turner and last year's steals leader Marcy Robinson to go with several freshmen expected to make an immediate impact.
Such a mix led to the conference coaches ranking the Lady 'Runners second in Region XIV's preseason polls.
Fans tonight will have the opportunity to view Coleman's latest bid for yet another 20-win season, with the Lady Roadrunners hosting Hill College in a scrimmage at Shands Gymnasium on the Angelina College campus. The contest will serve as the final pre-season tune-up for AC before tipping off the regular season at home Wednesday, Nov. 4 against Eastern Oklahoma .
