SAM RAYBURN: The lake is about six inches low and clear. Water temp is in the mid-70s.

Bass are good to eight pounds on Senkos and small swimbaits fished over the tops of grass in 4-10 feet of water. Rat-L-Traps have been effective in the same areas, according to Ann Thomasson-Wilson at Ann's Tackle. The topwater bite is picking up on Yellow Magics, Pop-Rs and Chug Bugs. A few fish also reported on frogs.

Crappie are good on black/chartreuse Triple Ripple grubs worked around grass in 5-to-12 feet of water. A few fish beginning to set up camp around brush piles in 16-20 feet of water.

PINKSTON: Lake Pinkston is at normal level and clear. Water temp is in the low 70s.

Fishing guide Alan Spruiell said bass fishing has been good to seven pounds on white grubs and Senkos fished on light line. Texas-rig plastics and white Zara Spooks are producing some solid fish up to five pounds.

Crappie are good on jigs fished along grass lines bordering channel breaks in 3-to-12 feet of water.

TOLEDO BEND: T-Bend is at normal level and stained on the main lake, clearer in the backs of the creeks. Water temp is in the mid-70s.

Fishing guide Tommy Martin said there are lots of fish still roaming the shallows. Senkos and Texas rig lizards are producing some solid fish up to four pounds. Martin said frogs are beginning to produce around lily pads in the backs creek.

Catfish are good to 50 pounds on trotlines tipped with cut bait. Lots of fish in the 3-to-10 pound range reported. Charlie Shively at Bill's Landing said rod and reelers are picking up good numbers of blues and channel cat in the 3-to-5 pound range.

Crappie are slow up north. Down south anglers making some good hauls on lightweight jigs strolled around hydrilla beds in 8-to-12 feet of water.

FORK: Lake Fork is at normal level and clear. Water temp is about 72 degrees.

Bass fishing has been good to seven pounds. Fishing guide Jeff Steele said the best bite has been on Zoom Flukes worked in six feet of water around hydrilla. A few fish hitting Pop-Rs and Yellow Magics in the same areas.

Crappie are scattered. Steele said anglers are picking up a few limits at the bridges in 4-to-20 feet of water. Jigs and minnows are producing equally well.

No report on catfish.

RICHLAND CHAMBERS: RC is about six inches high and stained. Water temp is in the upper 60s, low 70s.

Larry Winters at Midway Landing said bass fishing has been good to seven pounds on Texas rig lizards and spinnerbaits. Best bite has been shallow, 1-to-3 feet deep.

Crappie are excellent on minnows soaked beneath a cork in water ranging six inches to two feet.

Catfish are good on rod and reel, mostly along windy shorelines. Punch bait is producing some solid channels and blues in the 2-to-4 pound range.

White bass and hybrids are suspended about 10 feet down over humps in 20-to-28 feet of water.

ATHENS: Lake Athens is at normal level and clear. Water temp is in the low 70s.

Bass are good to six pounds on crankbaits, Senkos and spinnerbaits worked in relation to scattered hydrilla beds in 4-to-5 feet of water. Crappie anglers are picking up partial limits using small jigs along the outer rims of hydrilla beds in 4-to-6 feet of water.

NACOGDOCHES: Lake Nacogdoches is at normal level and slightly stained to clear. Water temp is in the low 70s.

Bass are fair to four pounds on Senkos, Flukes, wacky worms and medium diving crankbaits work the outside edges of hydrilla. Good numbers of bass still roaming the shallows. Topwater action has been hit or miss.

Crappie are fair on jigs fished on grassy points in 7-to-12 feet of water. Brush piles are good bets.

CEDAR CREEK: The lake is at normal level and stained to muddy. Water temp is in the high 60s.

Fishing guide Jason Barber said bass fishing has been good on spinnerbaits, Senkos and Flukes worked in 1-to-5 feet of water. Barber said the fish are in all stages of the spawn.

Crappie are good on jigs fished from the bank out to 10 feet. Boat docks with brush are holding some good concentrations of quality fish.

Catfish are good on cut shad and punch bait fished on bottom in 1-to-6 feet of water, mostly along windy shorelines.

White bass and hybrids are taking topwaters, slabs and swim baits in shallow water early in the day. Midday bite has been best on slabs bounce along drop offs and main lake points.

PALESTINE: The lake is at normal level and stained. Water temp is in the low 70s.

Bill Flashnick at Porter's Sporting Goods said bass fishing has been good to six pounds. Frogs, shaky heads, drop shots and Texas rig plastics have been equally productive in 2-6 feet of water.

Crappie are scattered. Flashnick there are still fish spawning in shallow water, while others have moved out to deep brush.

Catfish are good on punch bait fished on wind blown points in shallow water. White bass are fair on spoons fished points and humps.
