Henry Jordan's letter to the editor on Oct. 6 was so confusing to me until I took a chance and asked how he learned about God's love without attending a church or studying the Bible. He said that he doesn't put his faith in the Bible or church. Our faith must be based on the Bible which we as Christians believe is the inspired word of God, 2 Timothy 3:16 and 2 Peter 1:21, written by holy men of God as they were moved by the Holy Spirit. God's love truly is unconditional, but some things he hates, read Proverbs 6:16-19. All have sinned, but we do not continue in sin, Romans 6. We must obey the Bible which is the word of God. Unless we trust in his holy word we can't do anything, John 15:5. The only way we can learn of God's plan for our lives is through his holy word — the Bible.
