My name is Robin McCarty Howard. I'm writing this letter on behalf of my son, Justin Micheal McCarty. Justin was the 20 years old you man who was hit and killed on Loop 287 and Ford Chapel on Oct. 16, 2009. Justin was very special to a lot of people. He was always living life to its fullest, very free-spirited and very talented. He will be dearly missed. I would like to thank everyone who called our local police office to try and help Justin. It is very good to know there are still people out there who care. My heart goes out to the two drivers and the lady in the car. I can feel my pain of losing him, but I feel your pain is very heavy too. Myself and my daughter would like to speak to each and everyone involved. The reason for this is to help each other heal and share any ideas to prevent this from happening to anyone else.
