It occurs to me that after eight years of war in Iraq and Afghanistan, somebody in charge should have at least a faint idea about how to win. The chiefs of stall are strangely silent and even the commander in chief is 'undecided' about how to proceed.
May I suggest that instead of filming and displaying on American television the bad guys walking around in broad daylight carrying all sorts of deadly weapons, we replace the cameraman with an infantryman with a loaded Browning automatic rifle. Remind the soldier carrying the rifle that this is war and in war the objective is to kill the enemy before he kills you. This simple ploy would rapidly reduce the threat to our troops and we could get on with our 'plan' for the area, assuming we actually have a plan. In any case if we would allow our soldiers to shoot the enemy we just might win a war for a change.
