Q: I was told there were no more seasonal flu shots in Lufkin. Is this true?
A: Staff with the Angelina County and Cities Health District have confirmed that they are out of seasonal flu shots.
"We are currently on a waiting list hoping to get additional doses later in the season. We've been out for about two weeks," said Sarah Adams, immunization director.
Pharmacists at Walgreens and CVS both confirmed the stores are out of shots as well, however Kmart pharmacy said they have "about 20 shots left" of the adult shot.
Some local doctors' offices may still have seasonal flu shots, so it's best to speak with your physician.
The office of Dr. Charles Evans recently advertised they have adult flu shots available for $25. An employee at the office said they have "over 150 shots" left.
