A woman reported that her ex-boyfriend punched her in the eye after she gave him a ride to get some food Wednesday evening. Her eye was swollen, a police report stated.

A man reported being threatened by a phone solicitor selling a program to learn English. The solicitor asked the man to pay a large amount of money and when he refused threatened to come "find" him, a police report stated.

Food was stolen from a concession stand at Kit McConnico Park Tuesday after someone broke in Tuesday night, according to a police report.

A woman reported receiving numerous phone calls from a long distance number. When she answered, the person said they were with the U.S. Census Bureau and began asking for personal information. The woman told police she does not believe the person is with the Census Bureau, a police report stated.

A man reported being threatened with a rifle by a known suspect Wednesday in the 2200 block of East Denman Avenue.

A man reported that something was thrown through a window at his business overnight Tuesday in the 900 block of Pershing Avenue, according to a police report.

The Lufkin Police Department made eight arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Johnathin Tillery, 22, failure to maintain financial responsibility; Billy John Mason, 51, public intoxication; Alejandro Garcia, 18, public intoxication; Theresa Riley, 45, theft; Jethro J. Henderson 66, criminal trespass; David Alexander, 35, theft; Linda Saunders, 32, possession of drug paraphernalia; and Rosieo Rivera, 21, assault and family violence.

The Angelina County Sheriff's Office made four arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: Howard D. Williams, 33, federal hold; La Thomas Shankle, 31, criminal non support; Jennifer Sessum, 19, bench warrant; and Jacobe D. Aawins, 32, judgment for unlawful possession of a firearm.
