Police arrest man for allegedly touching two girls inappropriately

A man was arrested Tuesday on two counts of indecency with a child, according to a Lufkin Police report. On Christmas Eve 2007, the man allegedly touched two girls beneath their shirts and on their private areas when they were alone, according to an arrest affidavit.

When one of the sisters was asked if she was told not to tell on the man, the girl made a slit sign across her throat with her finger, demonstrating what the man allegedly said he would do to her if she told anyone, the affidavit said.

A cell phone was stolen at Olive Garden Tuesday in the 3800 block of South Medford, a police report stated. A man left his phone and when he returned it was missing. When he called the phone, he left his name and address with a man who answered, but has yet to receive it back.

A Toshiba laptop was stolen at Lufkin High School Wednesday in the 300 block of South Medford, a police report stated. The computer was taken from a locker room.

Assault was reported at Lufkin High School Tuesday afternoon in the 300 block of South Medford. Two boys were found fighting and pushing each other in the student balcony area, a police report stated.

The Lufkin Police Department made 11 arrests late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Arrests and charges included: Jennifer Reynolds Gee, 37, three Class C misdemeanors; Charles D. Alexander, 31, four Class C misdemeanors; Deborah Ann Wells, 26, five Class C misdemeanors; Jeffrey Allen Bryan, 26, public intoxication; Debbie Kay Wells, 26, delivery of a controlled substance; Juan Alfonso Ibarra, 23, assault causing family violence; Thomas E. White, 48, parole warrant, possession of drug paraphernalia; Thomas Turregano, 49, theft by check; Christopher Robles, 20, four Class C misdemeanors; Laura Aide Brier, 45, running a stop sign, violation of protective order and assault; and William Andrew Morehouse, 21, theft.

The Angelina County Sheriff's Office made four arrests late Tuesday and early Wednesday. Arrests and charges included: Benjamin M. Womack, 35, possession of a controlled substance; Evangelina Gonzalez, 35, assault-family violence; Ruben Rodriguez, 18, revocation of probation and burglary of a vehicle; and Ismael Alfonso Gonzalez, judgment, assault-family violence.

The Huntington Police Department arrested Dora Eloica Rodriguez, 34, on charges of no driver's license and no insurance.

The Angelina County Jail housed 257 inmates as of 3 p.m. Wednesday.
