Passersby in Lufkin Mall: Photo is a little too candid

A couple was caught performing sex acts inside a photo booth Monday evening at Lufkin Mall, a Lufkin Police report stated. Their lewd images were visible to passersby on a monitor outside the booth, the report stated.

A man reported that his estranged wife beat his truck with a bat or club, causing damage Monday afternoon in the 200 block of McHale Street, a police report stated.

A police officer reported 911 abuse when a young man called from the 300 block of Champions Drive and reported a possible shooting to occur at a local school, according to a police report. The call came in just after 6 p.m. Monday when no one was at the school, and no sign of any disturbance was found. The same cell phone number had called several times Monday afternoon and hung up each time. Police are trying to locate the prank caller.

A known suspect was seen stealing several items of furniture and a refrigerator from a woman's home in the 1700 block of Long Avenue over the weekend, a police report stated.

A wallet, stereo and cell phone were stolen from an unsecured pickup in the 3500 block of Medford Drive while the driver was at work Sunday night, a police report stated.

Graffiti was spray-painted on the side of a moving truck Sunday night in the 500 block of East Lufkin Avenue, a police report stated.

A woman's purse was stolen or lost at work recently in the 1800 block of West Frank Avenue and her debit card has been used without authorization, a police report stated.

A man lost his wallet about three weeks ago in the 700 block of Schiller Street and someone has used his Lone Star card without authorization, a police report stated.

The Lufkin Police Department made 11 arrests late Monday and early Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Alberto Carrillo, 31, speeding, violation of driver's license restrictions; Albert Richards, 54, possession of a controlled substance; Shirley Young, 44, three Class C misdemeanors; Tracy Stout, 30, forgery, possession of a controlled substance; Baron Johnson, 38, delivery of a controlled substance; James Williams, 47, displayed fictitious license plates, no driver's license; Gary Richard Baker Jr., 44, no driver's license, public intoxication, failure to display turn signal; Carla Duplantis, 50, open container; Bonita Smallwood, 43, terroristic threats, public intoxication; Jeffrey Havard, 51, public intoxication; and James Nickolus Hinson, 28, aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

The Angelina County Sheriff's Office made four arrests late Monday and early Tuesday. Arrests and charges included: Andrew English, 21, possession of a controlled substance; A'mario Gebrekidan, 19, evading arrests; Andy Cobb, 43, judgment for burglary of a habitation; and Alexander Merlos, 35, driving while license suspended.

The Angelina County Jail housed 245 inmates as of 1 p.m. Tuesday.
