Police investigating alleged assault on woman by her ex-boyfriend

A woman said she received a bloody nose and swollen lip when she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend Friday inside her apartment on Sayers Street, a Lufkin Police report stated.

A female teen received a bloody nose and bruises after fighting another female teen at a park in the 1000 block of Clinton Friday, a police report stated.

———

A woman received minor injuries in the 800 block of South First Friday after leaping from her moving vehicle while trying to escape her boyfriend, who was slapping her, a police report stated.

———

A battery was reported stolen out of a truck inside the City Parks & Recreation fenced compound in the 400 block of Jack Street sometime late Friday night.

———

A false prescription was called in to a pharmacy in the 500 block of John Redditt on Friday, a police report stated. The prescription was discovered to be fictitious when the pharmacy called the alleged doctor.

Two teenagers were seen taking a girl's bicycle from a carport in the 1000 block of Markus Friday, a police report stated.

———

A child's Playstation game was reported stolen in the 1600 block of East Denman by a relative and pawned for money Friday evening.

———

After getting a gun out of her car, a woman started waving the weapon around in the parking lot during a verbal argument Friday in the 400 block of Lazy Oaks, a police report stated.

Two women were seen shoplifting by a manager of a store Friday in the 1200 block of Lufkin Avenue, a police report stated. The women stole two cases of beer, diapers and a case of water.

The Lufkin Police Department made 13 arrests late Friday and early Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Evodio Rojo, 17, theft; Tiffany Tipton, 28, theft; Mario Contreras, 23, six Class C misdemeanor charges; Billy John Mason, 49, public intoxication; Jesse Keller, 27, public intoxication; Julio Moreno, 35, public intoxication; William James Stovall, 23, seven Class C misdemeanor charges; Amber Dixon, 19, failure to identify; Jodie Bass, 34, driving while intoxicated, failure to identify; Travis Pierson, 28, driving while license revoked; Ike Herring, 41, assault family violence; Martin Jones, 38, assault; and Sherry Williams, 43, no driver's license, no safety belt.

The Angelina County Sheriff's Office made 10 arrests late Friday and early Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Adam Wallace, 30, aggravated assault; Soto Fernandez, 23, DWI; Kelly Gene Johnson, 39, possession of a dangerous drug; Jason A. Richardson, 32, DWI; Melista D. Gray, 35, judgment for DWI; Gabriel Perez, 23, burglary of a habitation; Ricardo Flores, 40, DWI; Brandon Allen, 28, probation violation, DWI; Kenneth Calhoun, 22, revocation of probation; and Jason Jacks, 53, judgment for probation violation, DWI.

The Texas Department of Public Safety made five arrests late Friday and early Saturday. Arrests and charges included: Trenton Holmay, 38, driving while license revoked; Martha Reeves, 50, DWI; Aracely Sanchez, 33, DWI with a child; Eddie Santos Edhid, 26, DWI, no driver's license, no insurance; and Joshua Ingram, 24, DWI.

The Huntington Police Department arrested Daniel Torres, 25, and charged him with DWI and possessing a dangerous drug.

———

The Angelina County Jail housed 262 inmates as of 3 p.m. Saturday.
