FYI

FYI: Left turn lane for left turns only
Q: I see a lot of drivers in Lufkin turning left into the center lane to merge into traffic. I keep waiting for someone to simultaneously enter that lane to turn left and an accident to happen. I've also needed to get into the center lane to turn left, and couldn't because of a driver using it to wait to merge into traffic. Surely this can't be legal.

Q: There is a new U.S. postage stamp celebrating a Muslim holiday. The holiday is EID. The stamp reads EID Greetings. My question is, after all our country has been through since 9/11, why would our U.S. Postal Service have a stamp to celebrate a Muslim holiday? I would like to know who suggests and approves of the postage stamps put into distribution. I also want the public to know what this stamp represents.

Q: If you are driving down Elsie Street and come to a stop at the stop sign at Second Street, there is a tree on the corner that obstructs the view of drivers on Elsie Street. We were almost involved in an accident due to limited view. I think the tree is a danger to drivers. Is there anything the city can do about it?
