Gas prices down 1 cent after 28-day increase
IRVING, Texas — Retail gasoline prices in Texas have decreased just a penny a gallon since last week.
AAA Texas reported on Thursday that the average price per gallon at the pump was $2.55. Prices decreased 1 cent nationally to $2.68. The association says prices have stabilized after increasing for 28 consecutive days.
Galveston had the lowest price at $2.41 a gallon; El Paso had the most expensive gas at $2.69, up 2 cents from last week.
The association says prices have stabilized this week because oil prices are less volatile, and petroleum consumption is down.
