Guess what? We had our "Masquerade" luncheon-party!
What fun we had! The East Texas Playboys were here and did a great job providing entertainment for the crowd. Texas Home Health sponsored the meal, which was of course, everyone's favorite Ames Fried Chicken.
Special thanks go to these people for their goodness of heart. We had a nice lunch, great entertainment, lots of door prizes and more than 100 people having a great time together.
How I love these luncheon parties! If you are not coming to them, you are really missing something.
Everyone has a great time. We were so glad to welcome our nursing home friends to the luncheon. Stoneleigh, Parkwood Place, Grace Care, Huntington Health Care, Trinity Mission and Southland were all represented.
We certainly missed the folks from Castle Pines, who were not able to attend.

Does the melody of an song from yesteryear every run through your mind and you just have to sing the few words you can remember?
Does a song come to mind that brings back happy memories or a certain someone?
We have a very special lady, Elsie Randall, who donates her time by coming to play the piano — furnishing us with those half-forgotten words, so that we're able to sing those songs again.
Elsie's here from 10:15 to 11 a.m. on Tuesdays and we are lucky to have her. Elsie also plays the piano at Memorial Hospital.

Our birthdays for this month are Eileen Lee, Pat Smathers, Betty Stanley, Olivia Miller, Bertie Birdwell, Dimple Walker, Melvin Bear and Elbert Bailey. May they all have a great one and many more to come. It is such a pleasure to have these and other dear people in our lives.

Remember that we have gospel singing from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. every Friday morning. Come sing with us.
We so appreciate Susie Franklin on the piano, Nickey Moore on the keyboard and Smitty Smith playing the fiddle. We could not do without them.
There's a lot of singing going on and a lot of fellowship also. We'd love to have you with us.
