An Angelina County narcotics unit raided a Lufkin home Thursday morning, arresting the owner on a warrant for the sale of cocaine — a second degree felony.
Forty-year-old Marisela Delapaz and another woman, 20-year-old Krystle Lee Perez, were taken into custody shortly after the unit descended upon the trailer home located at 2304 Palmore Road around 10 a.m. Although Delapaz sold cocaine to an undercover narcotics officer earlier this week, no cocaine was found at the time of the raid. Numerous prescription bottles of Hydrocodone and Xanex were discovered throughout the home. It is believed that Delapaz sold some of those pills to Perez just before officers arrived. The going rate in Angelina County for Hydrocodone is $2 a pill while Xanax sells for $5, Angelina County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Allen Hill said.

"The sad thing about this is that she's getting these pills off of tax dollars and then turning around and selling them," Hill said.
Initially, Delapaz's 12-year-old son was believed to be at home but it was later discovered that he was with his father.
Before being put inside the sheriff's car, Perez was searched and asked if she had any drugs on her to which she answered ''no.'' While she sat handcuffed inside the car, officers found her attempting to hide pills between the seat. She was arrested for possession of a controlled substance. Her bond has been set for $1,500. This is Perez's first arrest.
Delapaz is being held in the Angelina County Jail without bond. If convicted, she could serve up to 20 years in prison and pay a fine up to $10,000.
This raid came one day after the narcotics unit busted a meth house that shut down three major players in the county drug scene, Angelina County Sheriff Ken Henson said.
"The raid yesterday was phenomenal. I can't recall a time we've got three labs at one time," Henson said. "I'm extremely proud of our narcotics unit and what our officers are able to do. This was a combined county-wide effort including Angelina County, Lufkin PD, Hudson PD and Hudson ISD."
