Woman won't file charges against estranged husband

A woman's estranged husband grabbed her by the face and neck during an argument Wednesday night. The woman was not injured and did not want to file charges, a police report stated.

A known suspect threatened a woman with bodily harm during a confrontation about two weeks ago. In a related incident, a complainant reported that on Halloween morning his mother rolled up the truck window while he was leaning into the truck talking with her and drove off with him leaning in the window in the 100 block of Broaddus Street. No injury was reported, a police report stated.

A woman reported that she was punched by her aunt after the two got into a fight over a disciplinary matter in the 200 block of Martin Luther King Drive. There was no injury reported.

A man was seen stealing property from a store Wednesday afternoon in the 2500 block of Daniel McCall Drive. When the suspect was confronted by a loss prevention officer he shoved the employee into a display and threw a bag of property at him. The employee received a scraped knee and a cut on his forearm. A witness knew the suspect and provided his name to police, according to a police report.

A woman reported that her cell phone was stolen off a table at Lufkin Mall when she left it unattended for a moment Wednesday morning.

The Angelina County Sheriff's Office made 11 arrests late Wednesday and early Thursday. Arrests and charges included: James William Cleveland, 45, possession of a controlled substance and public intoxication; Mason Christopher Nair, 18, revocation of probation for criminal mischief; Terry L. Loving, 23, possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance; Koty Joe Jones, 25, possession of chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance; Lindsey Denise Miller, 19, possession of certain chemicals with intent to manufacture a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance; Gloria Patricia Estrada, 18, judgment for theft; Jose Carmen Sanabria, 18, unauthorized use of a motor vehicle; Kristina Moak, 18, warrant for injury to the elderly; Arthur Banks, 21, order of surrender for possession of a controlled substance; Fabien Tamez, 19, theft of a yellow flashing light; and Dustin Roberts, 19, theft.

The Lufkin Police Department arrested Courtney D. Warren, 22, for evading arrest with a vehicle; and Elisa Danielle Kennedy, 21, possession of a controlled substance Wednesday.

The Angelina County Jail housed 264 inmates as of 11 a.m. Thursday.
