The event is hosted by Angry Armadillo Productions, a relatively new production group that is launching its company with Saturday's show.
Staff say the "Wrestlefest" is very "kid friendly and family friendly," so no need to worry if the acrobatics will be too mature to audiences.
The show features a six-man tag-team match that consists entirely of local talent, a Luchador tournament, a ton of singles matches and a main event performance featuring Bubba Dumplins and Mike Fyre.
"Our talent is mixed with current Lufkinites and others that are originally from Lufkin, but living and wrestling in different areas," a press release from Angry Armadillo stated. "We plan to have a lot of good, clean fun and will be having other similar events in Lufkin and surrounding areas."
Some of the featured wrestlers include: Bubba Dumplins, Mike Fyre, Big Killa Khan, Cameron Black (Black Train), Archangel Mykal, Assault, Amien Rios and a whole lot more.
Advance tickets are available at Baskin's and range from $8 to $20.
There will be a meet and greet opportunity at 5 p.m. at the civic center and fans can meet the wrestlers up close and personal. The main show kicks off at 7 p.m.
