Lufkin Industries, unions negotiating new contract
Lufkin Industries and its union workers are negotiating a contract to replace the three-year deal that expires at midnight Sunday.
Roughly 1,200 of the company’s estimated 1,800 workers in Angelina County are covered by the contract, according to LI Vice President Paul Perez.

the contrct contains a lot of smoke and mirror to steal the money from their employee so they can build a bigger company a the old trailer plant and the best way the can is to make us work longer hours for less pay ,trying as hard as we can to pay our own bills .sure they dont like a few folks who wont work sundays because we rather be in church not slaving 7 days aweek while the man get’s a fater bounse

Well,
Here they go again, the Company still wants to get the last few drops of blood out of the ole Turnip. Hopefully all parties can come to a final contract aggreement that will benefit the company in the ways they say they need it and a contract that will benefit the employees in ways they need it. The workers are the backbone of Lufkin, without them, Centuries of knowledge about how Lufkin’s products are manufactured, from start to finish will be lost. Just look where it all started, Martin Wagon Company, now it’s just Gears and Oil. My Prayers are for a United Union and an Open Hearted Company. God Bless You All.
Sincerely, BeenThereBeforeAndSharedMyBigRed
