Conventions and Visitors Bureau seeking bigger piece of hotel/motel tax pie

The Lufkin Convention and Visitors Bureau will make a presentation tonight to the City Council requesting $349,700 from the hotel/motel tax revenue for the 2008-2009 fiscal year.

Most of us are doing more with less these days. Why should the LCVB be any different? Don’t give them more funds—so that they can hand out passes to Crown Colony.
