One Angelina County office has responded to the county auditor’s request to turn over forfeiture funds and corresponding financial records after discrepancies were found in both offices. A second office is expected to turn over records later in the week.

. How hard is it to transfer funds? Go to the bank, tell them to close the acount and make a bank check payable to the County Treasurer. The longer Kent stalls in handing over the money, the more time he has to put the stolen money back into the acount.

Kent hasn’t stolen anything. It is clear he is not able to handle money well, but he is no thief. I am surprised that it has gone this long. I definitely makes him look bad. The last interview he did he said he already turned some money over. But now the Auditor says nothing has been turned over. Who is lying?

My ex-husband was arrested for non payment of child support. To get out of jail he had to make a payment to me in the amount of 2500.00 via the Sheriff’s Office. The payment was made and he was released. Seven years later the Attorney General’s office got the money for me. At the time the lawyer conducting the investigation said I was no the only one that this had happened to. So there is no doubt in my mind that the funds need to be looked into.

IM NOT SURPRISED THAT KENT IS TAKING HIS TIME, YEAH POSSIBLY TO REPLACE THE MONEY HE HAS USED. BUT THIS IS NOT THE ONLY THING THAT NEEDS TO BE LOOKED AT, GO BACK AND LOOK AT QUALIFICATIONS OF THOSE WORKING FOR HIM. HE IS BIG ON QUID-PRO-QUO. MANY WHO VOLUNTEERED ON BUILDING HIS LAST HOME GO A FREE JOB. SOME WHO OFFERED OTHER FAVORS DON’T DO THEIR JOB AS THEY ARE SUPPOSED TO BUT ARE PROTECTED DUE TO THEIR FAVOR. HE NEEDS TO GO AHEAD AND GET HIM A LAWYER OR GET ADVICE.

Gail,

I helped him build his house and I am thankfull that he gave me a job. It doesnt matter that I dont actually have to work. The point is that I am a darn good roofer and I deserve to be taken care of. My deputy uniform looks stunning against the gleam of a metal roof.
