Federal judge’s ruling on Neches wildlife refuge good news for East Texas
A federal judge’s ruling that a big swath of land in Anderson and Cherokee counties is better suited for a wildlife refuge than a lake is good news for those of us who live downstream.

This decision for the Neches River Wildlife Refuge by the judge is a good one. It is a win for the local landowners and the folks that value the natural ecosystems above those that think flooded land is a better choice for our environment. The wildlife specialist have identified this as a very significant ecosystem with a diversity that is important to East Texas. It neds to stay that way. Dennis Robertson, Conroe.
