Whitehouse Drive open for business
Eleven months and $4.5 million later Whitehouse Drive has officially opened. Motorists can now take a scenic drive over a creek lined with trees to drive to FM 819 on Whitehouse Road, which runs behind Wal-Mart.
Longview Bridge and Road began construction on Whitehouse November 24, 2007. Whitehouse is 40 feet wide and 3,661 feet long. Daniel McCall is 30 feet wide and 1,409 feet long. The project included a 50 foot pedestrian bridge on Daniel McCall Drive for Angelina College students to cross from their apartments to the campus and 1,916 feet of sidewalk.
