I heard they are keeping him sedated due to a head injury. Had glass removed from eye yesterday. He and family definitely need all of our prayers!

Another meat-grinder accident (involving a teen) in the Slaughterhouse Waco area. It’s been a rather “bloody” past couple of weeks. How about “old school” as a solution? The “old school” idea of NO (as in absolutely NO) teen driving until age twenty-one (21)? Are you sick and tired of seeing our young people in closed-coffin funerals? Damn it! Enough is enough! Let the kids get drunk or high and ride bicycles for Christ’s sake! To Hell with all this twisted steel suffering!

I too think that the driving age should be up to 18 or even 21. 16 year olds are not responsible enough to drive.

Fred…you might want to get off the “stuff” for a few hours. The young man was going to school, this wasn’t a “wreck”! This was an accident, the sun is brutal at that time of day. I’m convinced the view from the glass house in which you reside,is mighty fine!

i think we all feel the same way about this and all other accidents involving kids. my dad works with this young mans father and his mother is a teacher where my children attended elementary school. i dont have details, but i do know that unlike many other ‘teen accidents’…this truely is one. if you live in the area that his family does, then you know that looking towards town early in the morning is brutal. and you can barely see who or what is coming towards you. its also right at a hill, and when folks are driving 80, as is the norm in that area, even when you look both ways…and then look again to go…sometimes it is just too late. i myself have almost been hit a couple of times.

all i know is that i do agree with fred on one thing…it makes me, literally, sick at my stomach for so many kids to be getting hurt in vehicles. the only other thing that i know right now is that the family would be so hurt to read some of the things that are posted here.

despite the personality disagreements, why cant everyone just agree that this is so sad, try to not make assumptions, and wish the very best for him and his family?

The sun at this time of morning is blinding. I travel up Highway 6 every morning and I have a hard time seeing when the sun is blinding literally.

And, Fred why don’t you learn to shut your cruel mouth sometimes.
