Puppies hanging with Gov. Perry this weekend
This photo tumbled in from Gov. Rick Perry’s Twitter — which he often calls “Tweeter” — feed; nine puppies born to his son’s dog, Belle, are spending the long July 4 weekend with Perry and his wife, Anita.

Very cute, but for each one of these nine pups bought… nine will be killed in a shelter. Healthy, wonderful pups are killed every day in shelters because of breeders like Perry’s son. Please, get the momdog spayed.These pups don’t look very special to me and lab mixes are a dime a dozen …wonderful dogs but they are killed because supply outstrips demand.

tell perry’s son to get his damn dog spayed! perry is setting a horrible example by condoning breeding more dogs while hundreds of dogs are being destroyed EVERY DAY. I’m sure he just doesn’t care.

If the dogs are pure-breed, they are probably going to be sold. They appear to be labs but not really sure. I generally buy pure-breed dogs as I get to see parent(s) and judge the puppy by the way the parent(s) interact with their families. I have them neutered or spayed to prevent more babies.

Those dogs must be the I-don’t-care-about-anyone-else’s-vacation-time breed. Apparently, Perry posted this syrupy tripe minutes after the Legislature adjourned ….. while everyone else in the capitol community was Twittering about the defeat of CDA agreements. Clever distraction or disconcern for peoples’ livelihoods? You decide, voters.
