Obama makes big strides with Latino voters

Sen. Barack Obama, who struggled to attract Hispanic voters in the Democratic primary, now has a commanding lead with the group, according to a study released Thursday.

Sixty-six percent of registered Latino voters said they prefer Obama, compared to 23 percent for Sen. John McCain, the presumptive Republican nominee, according to the report by the Pew Hispanic Center, a non-partisan research group in Washington.

“The support for Obama is quite broad-based,” said Susan Minushkin, the center’s deputy director.

During the Democratic primary race, Sen. Hillary Clinton of New York beat Obama with Latino voters by nearly a 2 to 1 margin.

The Pew survey showed that most of the Hillary voters — 76 percent — now say they are inclined to vote for Obama, while 8 percent said they are inclined to vote for McCain.

So there’s a lot of Asians and Indians in this country. Does anyone care who they are going to vote for? If the HIspanics want to vote for Obama, that’s a good reason for me not to, unless all these Hispanics are for LEGAL Imigration>

The laws should be rigidly enforced which prohibit the immigration of a servile class to compete with American labor, with no intention of acquiring citizenship, and bringing with them and retaining habits and customs repugnant to our civilization. - Grover Cleveland - First Inaugural Address - Wednesday, March 4, 1885

MARK MY WORDS. The LATINO vote will not turn out for OBAMANATION.

The LATINO vote will shift certain SWING STATES for MCCAIN in November.

If anyone bothered to break down and analyze McCain’s speech to LA RAZA between his ENGLISH words and its SPANISH translation as it aired LIVE on CNN en espanol, then you would know this.
